Welcome to Stitch Composer Basics! In this online video course, I’ll show you how to create your own decorative stitches using the Stitch Composer software included with your Janome or Elna sewing machine. 

You’ll learn how to install Stitch Composer, how to customize the Stitch Composer screen and menus, and best practices when creating your own designs. 

When you purchase Stitch Composer Basics, you will have access to the entire course right away. This will allow you to work through the course at your own pace.

By the end of this course, you’ll have created your first stitch design and stitched it out on your sewing machine.

Required: 

Stitch Composer disc that came with your Janome or Elna sewing machine

PC or program that will let you run Windows on a Mac (Parallels)

DVD player – if your computer doesn’t have one, you can buy a separate DVD player to plug into your computer

    Janome and Elna sewing machine owners who want to create their own unique stitch designs using the Stitch Composer software that was included with their sewing machine purchase.

  • What do I need?

    Janome or Elna sewing machine, the Stitch Composer software (on DVD) that came with your sewing machine, Windows operating system (either on PC or using emulations software such as Parallels on a Mac), a computer with a DVD disc drive and a USB flash drive (memory stick).

  • What do I learn?

    You will learn how to create your own stitch designs using the Stitch Composer software.

  • Can I use Stitch Composer on my sewing machine?

    Stitch Composer is included with certain Janome and Elna sewing machines. While not comprehensive, some machines that come with Stitch Composer are Janome MC15000, MC12000, MC14000, MC9900, MC9400, MC9450, Skyline S7, Skyline S9 and Elna EL860 and 900. If you received the Stitch Composer disc when you purchased your sewing machine, you will be able to create stitch designs with it.
